Submit Your Work
Fiddleblack accepts unsolicited submissions of fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction. The submissions we receive without solicitation are considered for our digital journal only. Please consult our mission statement, if you haven’t already, for a good idea of what we’re interested in.
We do not accept unsolicited submissions to our small press. Agents are welcome to inquire, but any unrequested queries sent directly from authors will go unanswered. The best way to introduce us to your work is by submitting to our year-round open call for submissions to our quarterly journal. It’s through this channel that we may get to know you as a writer and determine, independent from your elevator pitch, what you’re all about.
Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to submit your work. We accept submissions electronically, and we prefer you use our submissions system to send them in. If for some reason you’re unable to complete the form below, you may send a traditional electronic submission to submit@fiddleblack.org, but please be sure to include all of the information requested below.
